Aeby Transport’s staff includes nearly 40 people who are working as lorry drivers, mechanics and office employees. Amongst our staff, there are a number of long-term employees who have helped to build the company and have substantially contributed to its success. Aeby Transports also employs numerous young people who are being trained and given the opportunity to acquire work experience. It is, for instance, possible to do an apprenticeship as lorry driver in our company.
Our staff does not only include people from different generations but also speakers of different languages. Consequently, our business is run being run bilingually, with most of our employees proficient in German and French. |

Working in our company requires a series of personal characteristics as well as practical skills. All staff members, whether they are working as drivers, mechanics or office employees, must be able to cope with a heavy work load and be able to work in a team. The ability to keep calm and remain friendly even when working under massive time pressure, as it is common in our industry, is an indispensable skill we are seeking in potential employees.
In addition, working in our company requires our staff to be absolutely reliable and punctual. Aeby Transports does not only immensely value these personal qualities because they are indispensable for the cooperation among staff members. Our employees constantly work closely with our customers and, as representatives of our company, have to live up to the excellent reputation of Aeby Transports.
Since we conduct a wide range of different kinds of transports, our drivers must be able to navigate a number of different vehicles and machines, and perform various tasks. Drivers are, for instance, not only required to steer articulated lorries, used to transport dry and regrigerated cargo, but also dumpers and concrete mixers. Furthermore, applicants who would like to work as drivers are required to have a Category CE licence and must be fluent in either German or French.
